“ The ambience is cool and calm . It's like a coffee shop that sells more than coffee. The service is really quick and friendly, and the food is gluten-free and delicious. ”
“ Obsessed! This place is paradise for someone with a gluten and dairy allergy. Everything is gluten free and they have such amazing vegan cheese to substitute in the sandwiches. The wraps are good but my absolute favorite are the tapioca sandwiches which can be made without the parmesan crust. They have the most insane texture and are unlike anything else I've had. The best combo I've tried so far is the chicken club tapioca with vegan mozzarella. I order it on Uber eats almost every week lol. It can be hard to trust Uber Eats when you have allergies but I totally trust this place and it has become my go-to. Whenever I place an order, they bring it in an orange tap bag with a happy little message written on it for me. Thank you tap!! ”
“ Great little spot with gluten free sandwiches and cheese bread. We grabbed a quick bite here before seeing a movie in Lincoln Square. My friend swears by the tapioca wraps but I really wanted to try the cheese bread so I had my chicken sandwich on the cheese bread, which was delicious and satisfying despite being on the smaller side. Not a lot of tables and more of a grab and go spot, but a great one at that! ”
“ Been a couple times to Tap - it's my favorite açaí bowl spot in the city! The fruit is always fresh and the açaí puree isn't too sweet. I really like the milk powder they put in between layers! The cheese bread and the egg wrap is super yummy too. The staff is always friendly whenever I go in person. The space can get crowded at times though so don't count on getting a seat! ”
“ Tap is my favorite place to grab an açaí bowl. The fruit is always fresh and the consistency is good. The service is always kind and communicate if there will be a long wait for items. They also have the interior decorated cute and is always clean. ”
“ The "chicken club" tapioca crepe is not so good. The shredded chicken and mozzarella together taste awful and there was no spice to cover the dairy meat funk. Just salt. Also the tapioca crepe has gone a bit doughy from what I remember. ”
“ So glad we got to try TAP! Being gluten free and a wrap/sandwich lover can be a struggle at times with ingredients falling apart with gluten free breads, but not at TAP!! Their tapioca wraps are sturdy and tasty! We got the tomato mozzarella and spicy tuna wraps as well as spicy and pesto pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). Of course we had to get coffee too! Staff were very friendly and patient and the indoor seating was spacious and modern. ”
“ Came here two different times for different items and both times were great. The first time I ordered the small açaí bowl and it was really good. The texture was smooth and creamy and was the right amount of sweet. It was very refreshing. The second time I ordered the chicken sandwich for pick up. It was really tasty and didn't leave me feeling bloated even though it was quite a bit of food. It's definitely on the pricey side for a sandwich but was very unique and tasty. The service was great both times. The staff were nice and got my food at a reasonable time. When I ate there, it was in the evening so there was plenty of seating and it was pretty chill. However, when I got pick up, it was a beautiful day and the place was packed. So if you plan to eat there on a nice day, it might be full. Luckily Central Park is nearby. Overall it was great and it's now my new favorite açaí bowl. ”
“ I usually don't go to these health food stores / cafe type restaurants, but I decided to give this place a try. It's funny because I deeply associate the TAP acronym with Taiwanese American Professionals. Either way, this place was so much better than I had ever imagined and I will definitely be back. - Traditional Brazilian Cheese Bread - Definitely one of the best cheese breads I've had. I was a bit hesitant on ordering this at first because it seemed like it would just sit in the display case for a long time, but it was delicious! It was very chewy and was filled with cheesy flavors. - Spicy Brazilian Cheese Bread - I thought this was okay, would opt for the original version instead. - Monster Bowl - I haven't had an acai bowl in so long and I really should have it more often because I love it so much. Sure the weather isn't the best to eat this right now because it's windy and cold but the bowl was delicious. I was surprised that at every bite there were still nuts, fruit, and cacao bits to give it a complex flavor and texture profile. - Chicken Club Tapioca Sandwich - I didn't really know what to expect from this very expensive sandwich, but it was so much better than I thought. They essentially formed tapioca into a shell to hold all the ingredients which was very cool. The shell also added a crispiness factor to the sandwich. I thought the sandwich was going to be very flavorless and dry but the tomatoes helped create more moisture and they had cheese coat all over the tapioca. Overall, great experience at Tap and I would come back for more, surprisingly. ”
